Tundra No.02 Painting

My father told me that my grandfather was a hunter and in childhood they often went hiking in the mountains of Kuznetsk Alatau. The word "Alatau" in translation from the Turkic languages ​​into Russian means "Motley mountains". Grandfather shot at hares, elks and deer. Hares were used for food, and mittens and socks were made from their skins. The grandfather took the skins of elk to the city for sale, where he also sold tinctures from antlers. Once, they stumbled upon a bear-rod, but, fortunately, everything worked out. Clean air with an admixture of pine needles, a burning wind, hot tea from a thermos, grandfather's gun, the sound of a shot and a desire to eat: these are the words I heard most often when my father told these stories. But at the same time, it is impossible not to mention the beauty of that Siberian nature, where all this happened. In adulthood, I managed to visit there, follow the same paths, and I can say that I would boldly include the Kuznetsk Alatau in the list of seven wonders of the world. Velvet crisp snow under boots, frozen rivers, mountain peaks. Consider it my sacred duty to share with you the beauty of this nature.
