About The Artwork
The artist’s take on Picasso’s famous ‘Girl before a mirror’, this work challenges the grey area between wrong and right, and asks who the real ghost is. Is it the witch on the right but in a whole mirror, or is it the human on the left but in a broken mirror? Who is reflecting whom? Or are they both ghosts of one another? The use of real mirrors on the left also hints at the digital age – our virtual ghosts? Why does the witch have a green mirror in her womb? Is she fertile? What is right and what is wrong?
