Two red boats, Isle of Mull Painting

I came across this gorgeous place on the Isle of Mull while travelling around the island looking for inspiration and places to paint. I was immediately gripped by the glorious intensity of the colours and the fact that the white cockleshell sand seemed to set it all off so well.The little red boat tied up to the rocks were the icing on the cake! I had to stop and take many photos and do a couple of little sketches. This particular painting is done in oil paints on a 12" x 12" stretched canvas. It is unframed but can be framed by arrangement, although do please bear in mind that this will increase the cost of shipping it to you. The paints and the canvas are all produced to be totally archival and given the right care will keep their brilliance and last for hundreds of years. I've been painting the west coast of Scotland for about thirty years now and always feel a great sense of excitement when I come across one of the little old crofts or a fisherman's cottage; I love to see a connection between the people that live by the sea and the land that surrounds them.
