Under the bark Painting

The woman's face is surrounded by a texture like the bark of a tree that contrasts with the smoothness of her skin. She is under the bark and emerges suggesting a rebirth to life. The path is not easy but it is in the right place, integrated into the nature of the subconscious represented by the strokes of paint on paper. The work is painted with a mixture of colored oils that result in black and different shades of chromatic gray. In this work there is a subtlety of pink and violet hues within the gray scale. The lights and shadows are the essential. In this series the search is to combine the realism of the female face painted with brushes, managing to convey the expression that I feel at that moment, with precision in the details of the eyes and lips. The abstract background is painted with a spatula, leaving the traces of loose lines that release the subconscious.
