Under The Trees Painting

A close friend had taken a photo of her lily pond and I asked her if I could paint from her photo, and she agreed (and bought the painting). I liked what I had accomplished with her painting, so I tried it again with varying results, most of them good and with some variation on the composition and color or flower blossom and placement of same. So, it is not a copy but absolutely an original one. The pads rest lazily beneath the overhanging trees, with the sky and bright light filtering down through the leaves and limbs. Hope you enjoy it.
