Born 1992. My work is born through my dreams, weighted past experience, and introspection. The intent of my practice is to invoke the same emotional state with the viewer that I was in while creating the work. I build texture through many layers of transparent oil paint. This process allows the elusive properties of light to shine through each layer creating a luminous glow. What I am seeking is to not create a photo realistic painting but rather a living, breathing depiction, regardless of subject matter. While retaining a mysterious quality, and leading the viewer with limited direction, I hope to inspire people to look more carefully of the world that surrounds them.
