I made a rule that I would never do a self portrait, in a way, this piece broke that rule. But I knew that my story could encourage and motivate others. My insecurities have held me back almost all my life. Yet in recent years it's seemed as if life has pushed me into a corner to where i have no choice but to show the world the gifts and talents God has given me. I'm under pressure by my own destiny and its cracking me exposing every emotion, thought, feeling, idea, expression, perception, voice, opinion that i for so long tried to hide. Now i can’t hide it anymore, it’s all I see, it’s all i feel, its all i taste, its all I hear, its surrounding me. What is it about you that you are hiding from the world? What are you scared to reveal? You have to let it out, you have an impact. And impact, is the rose that grew from the crack cement.
