willi BAMBACH
Serie: Processing: Plastic / Crash-Serie
title: "Untitled (Crash 202)"
Tech: silicon, paper, fire, acrylic color, varnish-color, spray-paint, plasticsheets on Canvas
Size: cm 240 x 170 //inches 96 x 68
Year: 2015

I am painting and working on plasticsheets melting them with fire and covering the artwork as a last step with silicone.

I hope the viewers of my artworks will identify their own experiences and "find" visual items beyond what I painted.

I create paintings using plasticsheets, fire and silicon now since 2011. This way allows me to deconstruct (and sometimes reconstruct) visual elements which is what I love to do. It is my way.

about Willi Bambach:
In the deconstruction works of willi BAMBACH the artist first paints a motive for to deconstruct it above plastic-sheets along a defined process of setting forms and colors. hereby, power of creation is partly handed over to nature and chance and by doing so a new subject matter appears - or not.

About: Willi Bambach Born in Saarbruecken close to the border of France where he was raised during the 1960 ´s and 70´s, he moved to Berlin in 1989. After going professional in arts in 2008 and being discovered by renowned curator and gallerist Patrizia Charlotte Infantellina in early 2009 who soon after contracted him as resident artist for her gallery Infantellina-Contemporary in Berlin - he today belongs to the group of leading emerging artists from Berlin by having exhibited in Paris, New York City, Berlin and Venice as well as in Brussels, Palermo and Miami since 2009, both in group- and solo-exhibitions. His artworks emphasize Conceptual Abstraction. Quoting the artist: "There is a reason why, colors are there where they are on my paintings and that reason is the concept. It lies beyond the creation of the artwork during that I gradually become a mere tool to it [the concept] which, at the same time empowers my "partner/assistant" Mother Nature (with its "subsidaries" wind, temperature and gravity) into taking over the lead-artist role." Therefore one might conclude that his artworks are paintings like nature would paint. Besides his appearances at exhibitions and art-fairs, over 25000 followers enjoy his publications worldwide on different social-media-platforms with the majority being located in USA, Western Europe and India. *** "Art to me is like salty sea-water for the thirsty ... and I have drunken." (Willi Bambach)
