This painting is park of my dark blues series where I explore how Deep blue background can relate to other colours and effect the mood of the painting. While my main interest is the use of colours I tend to explore colors relations and the way they effect one another. There's a constant aspiration for tension, harmony and inner balance. Layers of paint; dripping paint; acrylic staining, paint scraping, automatic & subconscious creation- all these are parts of my work's signature. The works have a sense of movement, complexity and strong impulse. This work is signed on the front and on the back. Ready to hang.

Tal Wagner was born in 1975 in Israel. She currently lives and creates in London. She is a graduate of Wizo Design Academy in visual communication. Although educated principally in graphic design and worked extensively in the field for many years, her paintings exemplify self-expression and a form of escapism from technology. While attending painting classes under the guidance of professor John Byle, she was deeply influenced by the American abstract expressionism movement and was inspired by the intuitive process of painting. Her main interest is the use of colour, especially colour relations and their interacting effect. In her work there is a constant aspiration for tension, harmony and inner balance. Layers of paint; dripping colours; acrylic staining, paint scraping and automatic & subconscious creation- all these components make up her signature work. She sees her studio as a lab where experiments can be made and played with. There's a trial and error that leads to new exciting results every time. Her works have a sense of movement, complexity and strong impulse, "I approach the canvas without previous planning. The creative process itself is like a journey with no definitive end, and coincidence is playing the main role in that search - it is a direct expression of the heart." The paintings don't contain imagery or ideas. The observer is invited to take an active part while looking at the works and adding their own interpretation.
