About The Artwork
Often calligraphic influences are part of my abstract expressionist works, as a result of growing up in Seattle and the Asian influences of the Pacific Rim, which I now experience from the other hemisphere and a new sense of colours. Whatever you see in the painting, reveals more of what I have created as an artist. There is no right or wrong. You will often see the painting in new ways depending on the time of day, daylight or ambient light at night, or which way you decide to hang the painting. Most of my work can hang from 2-3-4 sides, so after time, you can change which way is up on the wall and enjoy it all over again in a new way.
