About The Artwork
Inspired by a small harbour in Newquay, Cornwall. Seeing the boats dormant they looked as if they were resting and would only awake when the tide returns. Love working in oils due to their rich vibrant colours. Taking advantage of this I use pure colour when possible with a dry brush to lift highlights and pick up the texture of the canvas.
