About The Artwork
For me, abstract expressionism means reflecting on the canvas of inner mental landscapes, of feelings and emotions that come to light such as brush movements, expression, color, and shape. I accumulate layers that act in different ways - the volume, plasticity, and light shadows of the modeling paste, the watercolor free spilling of the ink paints, and the transparent and light oil paints on top, which carry a different philosophy and create a feeling of airiness. The different materials and layers intertwine and unite, and as instruments in the philharmonic perform a symphony that affects you. For my paintings, I use professionally stretched canvas and high-quality materials: oil paints, mediums, structuring pastes. The edges are finished with the same materials and colors used for the paintings. All my paintings are inscribed on both the front and the back and are ready to hang.

I alternate spilled, transparent layers with expressive, energetic masks. I create a sense of space, movement and change. My paintings are peculiar, unexpected and illogical - a play of light and colors. I was born and grew up in Sofia where I studied and graduated in the University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. Me trying to express myself with paint and canvas went through many stages and transfigurations until I started using them as a mean of communication - with both the others and with myself. My paintings should not be understood by one, they should rather be felt. They reflect different states of mind, they are mirrors of the soul. Everyone is free to make intuitive associations. Let yourself be overtaken by the harmonic chaos of the paintings which brings the aesthetic delight from the balanced disorderliness of the human touch on the canvas. The expressive ointments are relaxed from the conscientious painting. All the self-excluding worlds, that coexist together within ourselves.
