Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, modelling clay, vintage cloth, silk thread on Canvas.

One of my back portrait series, with modelling clay as a primer for the outlined person depicted applied to vintage cloth, here being an old men's shirt mounted on a stretcher bars, then painted on and silk thread stitching added. In this series I try to capture persons seen from behind, with hair carelessly done up, in order to reveal their independence and vulnerability both at once
