Cornelia Dudca is a Moldovan-born visual artist based in Amsterdam, blending over 12 years of professional practice with academic studies in Media, Art, Design, and Architecture. Her work explores the paradoxes of life and their emotional depth, spirituality, and ethereal subjects to create a dialogue between the tangible and the intangible.
Specializing in surreal realism and figurative art, her works are made primarily with oil on natural linen canvas, with dense pigments and minimal color dilution. She mainly explores contrasting perspectives, through the use of vivid pigments and dynamic, cursive brushstrokes to enhance the idea of “continuity” that is one of the main themes in her work.
Thus, a sense of interconnectedness is created, through each brushstroke, where one flows naturally into the other. For her, every element in the painting—whether form, color, or texture—works together to create an almost “sensorial” experience to the viewer and the whole work becomes dynamic and synesthetic.
This idea of continuity is intended to draw the viewer into a sense of meditation and thought, guiding their eye into different symbols and perspectives.
Her art is inspired by philosophical concepts and music, with each brushstroke crafted to evoke sensorial effects that arise from the connection between the two.
Cornelia has exhibited her work across Europe and completed numerous commissions for private collectors and institutions. Her art, starting at €450, is an elegant addition to any collection, offering a unique blend of esthetics, depth, and meaning.
“I approach the world with crystal clarity, guided by a profound curiosity for cultures, symbols, and the art of thought itself. I paint to create sensory narratives that explore the human mind.”
