Whispers on the Wind Painting

Whispers on the Wind is contemporary, abstract liquid artwork done using fluid techniques. This gentle, elegant piece was created using acrylic paints on a Baltic birch wood panel. The background is a mid-tone silvery grey with deep magenta, light rose, portrait pink, white, black and silver metallic highlights. It has been finished with three coats of an archival, high-gloss varnish. The painting has been carried over the sides. All of my paintings are shipped ready-to-hang. This painting has a soft, gentle, "whispering" quality – hence the name that I chose for this piece. I created this piece during the fall, when the leaves begin to fall, dancing on the ground, whispering on the wind. Fall is my favorite time of year; the beauty of the woods, our breath disappearing in the cool air, the days which grow shorter and shorter. Fall lies between the seasons of light and dark, warm and cold, between meaning and understanding. A special, magical time of year when a season of introspection, hibernation and peace will soon be upon us. I hope that this piece will remind you of that wonderful time of year as well.
