About The Artwork

Death ... an integral part of life for which we are never prepared. Is it worse to be the one who died or the one who survived the death of the loved one? The one who remains alive is suddenly terribly small and weak to reach the size of the pain caused by the death. As if the death was mocking of the pettiness of the human being. He can stand on a tiptoe, he can overcome a long hard way, he can remember the last smile of a corpse, but he will be forever punished. As a survivor he is condemned to “unforgotten”. All what he can do is to send a message (shown as white flowers) to the dead loved one and to wait for a reply that never comes. Again and again,…..and waiting for the non-existent reply is what keeps him alive. Painting (Acrylic, Ink) on Canvas.
