Pavel Roslyakov was born in Tyumen in 1956.He studied at the Krupskaya Moscow University at the Department of Easel Painting, graduated in 1979. He started his career first as a theatre artist in Tyumen, created scenography and posters for different shows and concerts. The portraits always took a special place in Pavel's art, as his interest in art first appered from drawing portraits when he was a child. He created lots of portraits for individual clients, as well as for large Russian corporations. Portraits of famous composers done by him found their place in the organ hall of the Tyumen Philharmonic. He created a large portrait gallery of honor for The Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Tyumen. For the Government of the Tyumen Region and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug he also made over 50 paintings. The high technical skill of the artist allows him to create picturesque compositions of any complexity. What is special about his style — the ability to combine the academic style of glaze painting with the energetic pasty technique of mastekhin, which creates a sense of volume and real life space in his paintings. Another meaningful place in the author's work is held by the landscape paintings. In his landscapes, he illustrates the bright and rich nature of Russia. Seems like he immerse the viewer into the captured place thanks to the volumetric and realistic effect of his painting technique. Numerous landscapes of the author are in private collections. He also creates artistic works in his own style of painting with rigid contours, going beyond the frames of pure abstraction, portraying beautiful naked human figures. It's important for him to capture harmony and laconicism in characters by using certain color combinations and geometric shapes. The contours of the figures are very smooth but strong and clear, sometimes even outlined with a black line. Frequent inspiration and theme of his works are women: a woman roles as a mother, as a muse, Adam and Eve, images of family, devotion and love. As well as the artist, Pavel Roslyakov also realizes himself as a sculptor. In addition to private orders, Pavel Konstantinovich creates works of art for the Tyumen city, for example, the sculptures of St. Tatiana and the Master of Knowledge, both installed next to the buildings of Tyumen State University.
