Carlo Giuseppe Zuozo, artist, was born in Naples in 1973. Carlo Giuseppe Zuozo started to paint when he was a child, but in discontinuous mode. After primary and secondary schools, he graduated in Architecture at Federico II University in Naples in 2005.Then he started to increase his painting activity and to hold solo and collective exhibitions. In this period, he also started to realize sculptures with clay and papier-mch. After the experience of painting from real, the artist gets over the academical style and becomes more expressive, taking inspiration from Picassos cubism and abstract art in general.Subsequently his style becomes much more indefinite, the brushstroke becomes more important, together with the mark and the movement. He goes forward the informal art and the art-brut.The artist says: The beauty dances with the ugliness like the dancer Eurinome (the primordial being of the greek cosmogony). She, dancing vortically, generated the whole universe. De Kooning and Dubuffet become his inspiration. He uses a lot of art techniques, from painting (acrylic on canvas) to the graphic art (pens, pencils and watercolour on paper), to collage and sculpture (baked clay and papier-mch).
