Painting: Acrylic on Paper.
In this interior scene series, my aim was to disrupt the space to make the exit elusive, to play with the idea of shifting grounds where change is the only constant.
The treatment of space through an odd perspective and an interplay of transparency and opacity open the door to the subterranean layers of the unconscious and memories.
Interested in the psychological potential of interiors, I was particularly inspired by Matisse and Hodgkins paintings.
