About The Artwork

Roaming around woods, I was drawn by this particular tree and the way the light shrouded it. No longer being able to resist that beauty, I decided to paint it. Trees are very much like people and in this one I saw a human, his character, limbs moving and barely visible light tearing through leaves. Through the color palette I was hunting for freshness and simplicity but at the same time for the natural reticence that is peculiar to nature, to a tree and a human being.

I was born in the south of Russia in Vladikavkaz. As for painting, I prefer a hermitic way of life: I feel the diversity of its beauty, while traveling through the mountains and forests of my native land and comprehending all the subtleties of painting through observing nature. In my paintings, I try to convey the silence of nature and its complex states through light. A special place is occupied by my graphics, it is slightly different in style from painting - here I can draw like a child, surrendering to the process with my head, and here I am mainly inspired by ordinary city workers, keymakers, greenery saleswomen. The simpler the human being are, the more they attract me to them. I think that the whole life is in the hands of ordinary workers, because everything in their life happens much more sensually, and that is why I try to be extremely honest in my graphic arts. In the world of painting, where all possible styles are open, honesty should still be a priority. That is why those faces of people that I painted are life drawn, each of them lived that very moment. I studied at the Vladikavkaz Art School, I was an excellent student, yet, I decided to leave the last year of my education, because I was in search of my own style. Exhibitions: April, 2019 - Vladikavkaz, Union of Artists. March, 2019 - Vladikavkaz, Union of Artists.
