The work is a post-conceptual statement on the topic of the Word positive power. Words can hurt, words can revive. We know a lot of swear words, but so few good words. The painting belongs to the era of metamodern. Here naïve seriousness is combined with deep directness. Like a child, the artist correctly writes out each letter, focusing primarily not on the result, but on the process of action. As a child, we are captured by the process and we can study the smallest scribbles on the wall endlessly. Here, contrasting dramatic colors turn into a single positive narrative. When I was making this work, I was thinking of a teenager who could profit of this piece so much, because he could read of these words of affirmation every day and they will help him to build his own self-esteem. The dramatic nature of the combination of red, black and white correlates with the protest attitude of a child of transitional age. I wish I had a work like this hanging in my room when I was an adolescent.
