ABOUT THE ARTWORK
SOLD This painting is from a photo I took in Sausalito CA. I was drawn to the 3 primary colors: yellow, blue and red. The blue itself was sumptuous. I love the contrasts of bright light to deepest dark in the view. It's a little lonely and nostalgic... I like that Yet it exemplifies the infinite patience of the little yellow boat, waiting to transport someone.

I also paint old neglected trucks, boats and machinery--I AM DRAWN TO THEIR BEAUTY AND ACHING NOSTALGIA. I work in plein air doing landscapes of the enchanting and varied vistas in Northern California. I do the occasional portrait. My favorite artistic pastime is sketching people.
