Abstracted landscapes via purposeful revisitation of events and life experiences, otherwise memory blocked. Abstracted, evaluated, then reconstructed settings including Detroit's Cass Corridor, details from the Detroit Institute of Arts and MoCAD, then jumping to the west side of the state of Michigan(USA) to Calder Plaza in Grand Rapids. Composed with varying materials & processes such as but not limited to Acrylic and Oil paint, aerosol, markers, and Ink. Both traditional application of media, as well as digital, combined with the use of location-specific collage material are main aspects to the construction of "You Know The Spot". The panel's constructed of repurposed birch plywood, sourced from the historic Fisher Body Plant in Detroit, Michigan. Finished with epoxy resin, partnered with matte varnish.
