ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The composition of this painting is influenced by Martin Johnson Heade's "Thunder Storm on Narraganset Bay". It is, however, an entirely imagined place. One day a viewer doing a studio visit exclaimed "I know where this is, I've been there!" His comment made me feel I'd achieved my aim. It is oil on six panels, each panel is 24x32 inches. There is about 12" between each panel. The image extends around each panel. No framing is necessary.
