Zeus, The Goddess Painting

"Zeus, The Goddess" is an oil on canvas, abstract painting. The time spent in Classical gymnasium, studying Latin and Greek inspired me to pay keen attention to ancient mythology. From that point, imagination took over. Imagine an almighty God, such as Zeus, to be a female figure. That Goddess of sky and thunder, with an eagle in her hands, sits at the top of the Oak tree. She was born on the island Crete, as if gods had no better place to be born other than islands of the Earth. She was mighty and powerful, she ruled from the sky and her reign was felt all over the Ancient world. Her thunders were blazing all around the sky, if her will was not met. "Indeed she is The Almighty, God of Gods, King of Kings" - people yelled in awe of her powerfulness. After the beheadings of her brothers, she sat on the bull's back and rode to the Earth establishing her rule all over the Eight Kingdoms.
