About The Artwork
One of my favorite devices Van Gogh used in his paintings was contrasting the relationships of subjects and a great example of this is "The Zouave". Here I divided the composition in two with positive and negative shape, man-made/nature but then connect them a bit with two green linear shapes on top and bottom.
