azur zombie Painting

Born in Cambridgeshire 1988 I studied BA in fine art at Middlesex University. I very much enjoyed using the facilities at University to help create my ideas. My early work was mostly oli and watercolor paintings of landscapes inspired by my fathers art. I started exhibiting my artwork at quite a young age. My favorite exhibition was when I was 12 and I entered an art competition been the only child to enter but was still chosen to be the winner without the judge knowing my age. My chosen painting was then exhibited in Sentendre the capital art of Hungary which I traveled down to watch the opening and see my art alongside with all the other artists work from all over Europe. Was inspirational to meet and speak with so many artists. The painting exhibited was painted by me from a very young age. Originally it was a simple painting of two trees, a pond with leaves and the beginning of a swan. But it was screwed up and thrown in the bin in frustration. My parents however kept it and after a few years I found the painting but looked at it upside down and clearly saw a woman's face in the pond with two leaves as eyes , the swans neck as the nose, a third leaf as lips, reefs around the pond as hair, and the two trees formed her shoulders. The painting was then highlighted in certain areas to make the face more obvious and added pupils. I called this piece blue lady.
