About The Artwork

LINE, SPOT AND LIFE. When you come to think about the book and the man, a parallelism can be drawn in their process: the front cover would be birth, the back cover would be death, and the story within would be life. . Although what I enjoy the most is the story, to actually live it, it is also necessary to go from one extreme to the other. This proposal stands on the basis of the idea that when we go over the story of our life, we remove the strucutres that grow within ourselves. As a consequence of this, it is possible to reach our purest essence. These structures have their roots in beliefs, genetic factors, family boundaries, social and cultual contexts, giving place to what we call personality. “The unconscious is structured as a language” Jacques Lacan. We do not usually go through life analizing every feeling we have, or every thought we have, but we do walk those paths in which we feel secure. My main challenge has been to create different works, intervene objects, analizing, recalling, and associating every time, feelings and emotions throughout the stages, and wondering: why In this proposal, as in life itself, I look for the connection between reason and feelings, trying to assemble the internal structures in order to develop new ones, hence finding new paths, different from those I already know. The way I chose to reach this, is based on artistic creation, as a way of meditation and creation. A pause in the daily routine, for self-observation. The technique for this work is painting, and the support for every one of my works is linked to the belief I want to break. Construct to desconstruct and reconstruct another concept, or to reaffirm the pre existing structure. The final result is a plastic structure that can be a work in a plane surface, in volume or an intervention , depending on the moment and the issue dealt. The process is related to a continuous exercise of self exploration and concentration, during the creation of the work.
