ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Heart 13 belongs to a series of 15 anatomical hearts by me, which I realized on my own free and gestural way, based on illustrations in textbooks. The anatomical form is the basis, but nevertheless it is almost more about painting and coloring. The works are titled "Heart 1 - 15". The first 12 hearts are 70x70 cm and the last three hearts are 100x200 cm. On the one hand, this heart has something of free painting and yet - from the layman's point of view - has something very medical and anatomical about it.
