ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Living spirit series is painted on wood boards using oil,oil crayons with linseed oil, Gesso and a Matte vanish to finish the works. Like layers of tree these new works play colourfully from ground to sky like our flight through life from beginning to end in no particular form. I used exaggerated stroke, which was intense as I painted the series together, changing the colour palate for each...the base and the top are black gesso which shows the grain of the wood.
