About The Artwork

• After I failed to make an art out of the red shell of a cooked Baltimore crab, I painted instead a digital image of the legendary Red Jacket, who was Chief of the Iroquois Indian Tribe that sided with the English during the British-American Revolutionary War that started in Massachusetts in 1775. • Born in 1750 in New York, the Indian Chief got his name of Red Jacket when the Brit Army dressed him with red coats as he helped battle the American troops led by George Washington who helped succeed in gaining American independence on July 4, 1776 from Great Britain. • Some Indians who fought with General Washington called Red Jacket a traitor even though he helped negotiate peace between U.K. and the U.S. that consisted of 13 colonized states inhabited by 2.5 million Americans including native Indians. • After he died at 80 in 1830, I don’t know if Red Jacket had influenced people at the Oval Office to wear a red outfit. Imagine how Press Sec’y Kaleigh McEnany as a lady in red could stun conference attendees, or when she slept on a couch at the Oval Office. • As a Trump color favorite, red should look lovely on Melanie as she talks unmasked to War Veterans, or when walking down on Air Force One. Just like “Red Jacket” in my abstract shown walking with a rifle in his arm. • And if you want to wear a red jacket yourself, you can wait for a summer sale with 90% off at Target by telling them that you are a Vet.
