About The Artwork
With this painting I wanted to instill a bit of ambiguity. The basic coexistence of lifeless man-made objects and nature being the main theme. The cropped right angle of architecture that the vase rests on representing an older time and the crossing lines inspired from modern skyscrapers or perhaps lengths of wrought iron. To "contradict" themselves I rendered the architecture with multiple glazes of color to raise some sort of beauty in otherwise dull and mundane objects.
