Since 2002 words, lyrics and music inspires Patrick to create his expressionistic artwork. In the process of painting he explore the balance between the translation of sound into colours and the written statements, shown in text parts and key words within the pieces. The artwork will include a mix of typography as well as fragments of pictures. Patrick´s technique is acrylic based mixed media work with collage parts, spray paint elements and pencil highlights. The surfaces are scratched and with several layers of colour. The best way to explore the art of Patrick Motyl: place yourself somewhere comfortable in front of hiscompositions, headphones on and take a visual dive into the sound. Ask Patrick for commisioned artwork – Your company sign, major dates of your life or your favourite poems – everything can be visualized.
