"Spring" Painting

Sara Manzoni is an Italian painter born in Rome. Her artistic research is inspired by nature at both macro and micro scales, exploring the structures, patterns, and transformations that shape the natural world. Working through abstraction, she creates paintings that are not intended as static images but as evolving visual fields. Through layered colors, textured surfaces, and the use of metallic and pearlescent pigments, her works change according to light, space, and the viewer’s perspective. As a result, each painting offers a continuously shifting visual experience. The observation of natural phenomena and organic structures is at the core of her practice. Rather than representing nature directly, she translates its rhythms, energies, and complexities into abstract compositions that invite contemplation and discovery. Experimentation plays an essential role in her work. Using brushes, palette knives, and a variety of materials and techniques, she explores the relationship between color, matter, and light. Sara graduated in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in 2007. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and across Europe, and also works on commission.
