I always have a special feeling when I start a big journey. Especially when it comes to the unknown. This is such a special moment that I always enjoy a lot. This feeling I have brought here in a form. Green and white are very hopeful colors. And even if it looks like a gorge, I can easily glide over it. The white and the green are very structured, differentiated and alive. The boat is simple and almost as if it were flying. The boat stands for the viewer himself.

I was born (1953) and raised in Andernach by the river Rhein. After my studies I lived and worked in many different places like Ibiza, Gomera, Kathmandu, India and Kyoto in Japan as a freelance artist for almost 13 years. In those places I had many solo exhibitions. Landscapes and especially trees and water in all their different varieties reveal for me very intense feelings - they are full of hidden perceptions and memories, also they appear as a constant challenge to express in my art works.
