This piece is part of a series called "griefwork" created after the murders of Philando Castile and Alton Sterling. I was house and pet-sitting in Newark, directly across from a police station, and didn't know how else to express my grief and outrage, so I painted and painted until the sun came up. 6x9, acrylic on watercolor paper.
