This project was born from the union of my two great passions, photography and cycling. The object is empty beer cans thrown on the road by distracted passing motorists, which are then squashed in a arbitrary way by other on coming vehicles. The poor cans are subjected to a terrible punishment. Not only are the squashed cans all different from each other, but time and weather contribute to modify their structure and colour. I collect them during my bicycle rides. After a good wash, I photograph them. From their original anonyms cylindrical form, these cans acquire, after having passed a period of time “on the road “, a new identity, unique and unrepeatable. They become precious objects in shape, colour and reflections. The fine detail of a new dramatic dimension is slowly revealed to an alert and patient observer. If you need the print to be framed or mounted, please contact me. All prints come with a certificate of authenticity signed and numbered. Different sizes are also available no demand.
