About The Artwork
This car show every Friday night during the summer features mostly American cars of the 30s, 40s and 50s. Occasionally we'll see European classics - Jaguar, Porsche and others. I found a 1963 Jaguar in like-new condition and took several photos. I liked this one because of the design elements - the circles, the darks and lights. The sun was setting behind me and created two very different portions of the image. These prints are digitally printed on vinyl which is then applied to black 6mm plastic (about 1/4"). Then a 1.25" offset is applied to the back so the print is set off from the wall. It's ready to hang. No glass. The ink is designed to last 4-5 years in the weather, but indoors it will last for many decades.

Born in Los Angeles in 1940. Our family moved to Pacific Palisades in 1948. I attended local schools, Santa Monica City College and then to Arizona State. My parents gave me a Brownie Hawkeye camera when I was ten and that was the beginning of my photography career. I joined the Army in 1961 and was stationed with the 24th Infantry Division Band in Augsburg, Germany where I play cymbals in the marching band and piano in the dance band. I met my wife while in Germany (from Dublin, Ireland); we got married in '65 and had five kids between '66 and '77. We moved to Escondido in 1977 and have been here ever since. We've been married for 51 years.
