An accident. I bought this dress at a vintage store in Salem, Oregon and I was attempting to take a picture of the dress. I found that the face was distorted after I took the photo. Upon editing, I realized that I had something. I had a visual representation of what people thought of me. They thought I could be anyone. They thought that my face didn't matter, only the dress. A classic representation for a model, I'm sure of it. As a former model, I found it brilliant. When modeling for other people, my face didn't matter. Except that it did. I was one of those models who didn't model clothes. I was a figure model, my face and my body were what sold the pictures, and I usually wasn't wearing any clothes. Ironic, that my "best" photo was the antithesis of who I had been. I hope that viewers will see the power of feeling "faceless" among the crowd. Being faceless has it's own freedom. Because it allows you to be, whoever you want. This artwork is framed and matted. One print is available. Both were printed on matboard.

A former social worker broken by the broken system. I am a self taught award winning artist, former model, and a revolutionary millennial. I quit social work after I realized how much it was taking a toll on my health, and decided to become an artist. Art is so entwined with mental health, politics, pop culture, and toxicity. I figured that I would fit right in. I realized that I could use my platform as an artist, to create meaning, not just in my life, but in other people's lives. Armed with a self deprecating sense of humor, crippling mental health problems, radical idealism, and a disconnection from other humans, I have sought to document and tell stories about the things that I see in the world. Things that are reflected in me, and from my body, as well as everyday life. Help me live a life worth living, by being able to afford living, and doing what I love.
