Africana - Limited Edition of 10 Photograph

The strength and beauty of the African woman was my inspiration for this photograph. I believe the African woman is stronger than she seems, because she birthed the world, hence the reason for the pose of the subject. She nurtures, she struggles to be heard, the more she is neglected the louder her chants.she is faceless, she is any and every black woman irrespective of the tribe, religion or nationality. she is woman, she is black, she is power. I hope this image invokes the sense of responsibility and pride towards the African woman. I hope she can look into the mirror and say; "yes i am woman" I choose this medium to showcase the beauty in their bodies.
