Alexander Hamilton n.107 - limited signed print edition - Limited Edition of 30 Photograph

I began this work after seeing Lin-Manuel Miranda's 'Hamilton' off Broadway at New York's Public Theater. Inspired to explore an image of the statesman, I used the engraving of his face on the $10 bill, and created a large series of photographic caricatures. They displayed a range of characteristics: stern, august, pugnacious, mild mannered, forlorn, haughty, puzzled, resigned, arch, dopey, sly, wistful, heroic. All from the same dignified starting point. 20 of my favorites were then combined into this single photograph. Using a combination of photographic and digital processes, I search for for the intriguing, unexpected elements that are hiding inside the subject. Archival pigment print on paper. Signed and numbered by artist. Includes a signed certificate of authenticity. Image is 18 x 21.25 inches. Paper is 22 x 25.25 inches. There is a two inch border on all sides.
