About The Artwork
Taken on the American leg of my 2013, "Across The Pond & Beyond World Tour." Entitled 'All The Thrills, All The Spills' this is the famous Wonder Wheel at Coney Island's Astro Land. Taken in 2013, only about 8 months after hurricane Katrina tore through the East Coast of America decimating large parts of America's most famous theme park. Coney Island had only been open for a few short weeks, but I feel the colours and vibrancy in this shot epitomise the up-beat determination & optimism shared by the residents, shop keepers & day trippers alike.
