Hu Weiwei was born in 1981 in Yinchuan, CHINA.
In 2005, he moved to Shenzhen to begin his art career. Hu Weiwei primarily works in video art, NFTs, new media visual installations, and traditional easel art.
In 2016, he published his first solo exhibition, “Shoot wildly,” showcasing his early works. Two years later, in 2018, he founded the organization “Void Shenzhen,” which attracted many young artists and played a significant role in promoting art and culture in the city. During the same year, Hu's works became highly visible in various art exhibitions and commercial spaces, gaining significant traction in the art collection market.
Hu Weiwei’s works explore the relationship between the artificial and the natural, reality and illusion, and human connections, offering a fresh perspective on the world through the lens of time. He integrates three-dimensionalism and surrealism from Western art into his creations, reflecting his philosophical belief that “there is nothing outside the mind; the mind is the reason.”
In 2023, Hu Weiwei's work entered the digital collection market. In this digital age, his art forms have gained popularity on the international stage, particularly in the digital art collection market, where he continues to push the boundaries of contemporary art.
