The cradle of my femininity Naked, yet covered. Silent yet loud. Bold, yet never looking into the observer eye, lest their attention is drawn into her eyes out of guilt and shame. Using simple drape to cover the most sensitive sections of her body, Dzovig Arnelian is communicating with a royal outfit, her blooming young energy with the world. The pads used in this series are the worn saxophone pads which her dad used to throw away. Now lifted up to blend with her body, printed with her own most private and feminine parts. Using a mirror instead of a canvas, mounted on an aisle, Dzovig is showing us what the camera lens usually misses, irradiating vulnerability and strength at once. Ziad Dib Jreige
