"BELLA ITALIA" Photograph - Limited Edition of 3

During a six-month creative stay in Milan, specializing in contemporary art at the Academy of Fine Arts BRERA in the studio of Prof. Diego Esposito in 1999 - 2000, I was impressed by the TV channel “Rete 4” owned by the Prime Minister of Italy, Silvio Berlusconi. I was more impressed by the Bellissimi section, by the classic films they showed every night, but also by the shows in which beautiful girls paraded… "Beautiful Italy" is one of my last completed projects through the combination of negatives shot by me personally in the past in Milan (1999-2000 Year), Italy, archived, and subsequently rethought and revised as a contemporary art product, carrying within itself the feeling of the past, a part of the then everyday life, transformed today into something beautiful and aesthetically from the distance of 20 years time. This approach, I use very often in my work and I would say that it is one of the main key conceptual retro moments in it. The works have both traditional and contemporary impact. Traditional brings it the feel of the original analog film medium and the modern moment is due to the development of digital technologies in the preparation and processing of images and montage, as well as the new possibilities of printing.
