About The Artwork

A majestic bald eagle perches atop a deer, its sharp beak and powerful feathers representing the untamed beauty of wildlife. Our lakefront is in constant change as the seasons progress from warm summer waters to sub-zero temperatures that form ice up to a foot in depth, Winter is beautiful but ominous for the local wildlife. A young deer that ventured early this winter onto the ice fell through and froze into the ice. Several days of eagles feasting on the easy meal was recorded with several cameras in time-lapse mode everyday accumulating some 12,000 pictures to date.
