About The Artwork

A scene from the annual kite festival that takes place each summer in Lytham St Annes, a small, affluent seaside town in the north of England. Away from the hustle and bustle of the festival itself, life goes on with dog walkers and people enjoying the beach. The photograph is held together compositionally by the large piece of fabric which connects all of the people. The grain and contrast inherent in the original black and white film negative adds to the mood of the image. The image is from an original black and white film negative and is professionally printed by Jeff on heavyweight fine-art baryta paper using archival pigment inks. The print has a 1 inch handling border in addition to the print dimensions. It is treated with UV inhibiting lacquer, signed, numbered and dated on the reverse. It comes with a certificate of authenticity.
