Massimo Gardone is an Italian photographer born in Genoa and raised in Palermo. In Trieste, he founded Azimut Photo. Massimo is a visual artist who uses photography as an expressive and meditative tool, going beyond mere objective representation. His research focuses primarily on flowers and the sea, subjects treated as archetypes and transformed into visual universes that invite a deep and original interpretation.
Through a creative process that combines analog techniques (8×10 Polaroid SX-70 format) and digital tools, Gardone experiments with shapes, colors, and textures to bring to life works that stimulate a profound and sensory perception of the image. In his work, craftsmanship merges with technical experimentation and precision, creating a kind of “alchemy of the image” that also originates from the use of different materials and supports.
