In today’s artificial society, while nature is gradually vanishing from human life, humanity is longing for the natural world; we are part of nature, our mortality follows the same sequences. The trees in autumn ask us to see ourselves as tied to the rhythms of the natural world. What is the point of art if it’s not to help us lead better lives, to give us hope and to remind us that our humanity is connected to the natural world and needs to live in harmony with nature if human life is to survive. Creativity, as Matisse said, takes courage and humanity will need courage to create ways to live in harmony with nature. The artistic technique Tremblay created involves combining two different media – photography and painting – to produce new, unique works of art that can best be described as “pintographs”. “Pintography” consists of tinted images transferred on canvas that are painted over in oil paint.

Winner of the International Award “Lorenzo il Magnifico”, 5th Prize for Photography at the Florence Biennale 2017 Marlene Luce Tremblay is a photographer-artist who, as a result of extensive travels throughout the Middle East, was able to offer an artistic "archaeology" of the Arab world. She began this journey with explorations of Egypt and exhibited works both in Montreal and in Cairo, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Canada and Egypt. Throughout her career, Tremblay exhibited in Montreal, New York, Paris, London, Tunisia and Algiers. Today, Tremblay lives in Montreal after living in New York for eight years while working at the United Nations in the Office of the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General as Information Assistant. She pursues her artistic activities while her two passions come together in an original and fascinating project of "international intercultural rapprochement" through visual arts in the context of cultural exchanges.
