California Dreaming No. 1 Photograph

Cattie Coyle is a travel and fine art photographer currently based on the north shore of Massachusetts. Born in Stockholm and raised on the island of Gotland, Sweden, she spent most of her time on the beach and in and on the water, which gave her a deep appreciation and love for the ocean and life on the coast. Her poor eyesight made her a keen observer of light and the part it plays in how we perceive things, and as a teenager, she discovered that a camera could help her record and share her unique vision with others. She spent many years exploring the medium on her own before attending the New England School of Photography in Boston, MA. Cattie’s images focus on the quality of light and how it affects the mood of a scene. They are often described as tranquil and soothing, images that carry the viewer away. Her work resides in private and corporate collections in the US and Europe, and has appeared on blogs and in books, magazines, calendars and advertising world wide. Her image “Water No. 1” was featured in the group show “Best of NEPR 2016” in Belmont, MA. Cattie currently divides her time between Massachusetts and Sweden.
